Expansion of activities and field of business

Among other ends, the proceeds from the close initial public offering will be used to fund further expansion, mainly in the Gulf region. Specifically, plans call for the establishment of additional subsidiaries in places like Albania and United Arab Emirates. Tunc Holding AG believes in the continuing technological development of these countries and wants to play an active role in this process. The founding of various subsidiaries and our track record in the realization of numerous individual projects underscore the fact that our enterprise possesses the necessary know-how and access to the markets.

In  addition to expanding  our secure  customer  base in the  telecommunications  sector,  we are striving to in-
crease our  market share  in the power generation and  distribution sector.  A promising market particularly in Turkey,  as the Ministry for Energy and Natural Resources plans to refurbish the existing networks through the end of 2008.  A further goal is to expand our activities in the areas of renewable energy and Internet technology.  Just this past October,  we debuted the iWire System,  which enables Internet via the house wall socket,  at the CeBIT Informative Eurasia in Turkey.  Together with Telkonet, the manufacturer of this leading-edge technology,  the enterprises of Tunc Holding are seeking to open up new markets here.

Conveying knowledge and shaping technological progress

Tunc Holding AG is already a key driver of technological development in Turkey and other rapidly developing countries  in the region  and beyond. We  aim to  keep up with and help to  actively shape  the rapid pace of technological  progress going  forward as  well. To  this end,  we plan to establish  a centre for training and continuing  education for  engineers and  technicians in  Turkey, which  will benefit not only our enterprise. A cooperation agreement with a prestigious university in Ankara will ensure that this centre is operating at the state  of  the art in  knowledge  and technology. The  work of the  individual subsidiaries  of Tunc Holding is characterized by observance of the most demanding quality standards and comprehensive service. The joint Tech Centre is thus a promising synergy of theory and years of practical experience. The executives of Tunc Holding AG are not content to simply look back on past achievements, but are instead engaging in long-term planning for the future. The objective is to increase and shape the technical standards and technological competence of the entire region over the long term.

Taking optimum advantage of the value chain

As an established enterprise in the telecommunications sector, Tunc Holding wants to produce essential products such as tower and steel structures, containers and other accessories itself. In view of the steadily growing market in Turkey and other countries, this action will enable us to optimally leverage the value chain and meet the long-term needs of this sector. Preparations are already underway for a production facility in Turkey.
